Due to COVID-19 uptick, we are taking an Arthop break tonight; stay tuned for for MLK Day Jan. 17

We wanted to actively participate in Arthop tonight (Jan. 6,) but due to the uptick in COVID-19 positive cases in our local Black community, the AAHCMSJV Board of Directors wanted to be cautious and a part of the effort to mitigate the spread of the recent COVID-19 variants. As the unpredictable course of the pandemic and the COVID-19 variants are a continuing happenstance, we will continue to communicate with our members and our community of changes to in-person events, which may turn virtual.

Meanwhile, we are busy getting ready to celebrate the life of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whether it be virtually or in person!

Ring in the new year with the African American Historical & Cultural Museum of the San Joaquin Valley (AAHCMSJV) by joining us for MLK Day Monday, January 17, so, save the date! The whole community is invited to learn about the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and from local community leaders.

Note: We are still monitoring COVID-19 matters closely in Fresno County. We will follow the authorities' recommended health and safety guidelines.

In the meantime, please help us achieve our goals by continuing to wear masks and/or get vaccinated/booster shots!
